It has been a great year for Ollie Mart. Here is a round up of some of the projects we’ve completed in the past 12 months.
Grove Cottage, Ashover
This stone-built extension, built with our architectural partners Manning Holden, almost doubled the frontage of the existing house. All other stone hand dressed by OMBS on site. Internal renovation was also carried out including decorations, electricals, plumbing and window installation.

See more photos of the project on the project page here.
Ashover Hay, Ashover
Work began on this two-storey extension in July of last year. Again, the project was a design and build completed with architects Maning Holden. The extension was completed in natural Derbyshire stone with windows to match the existing ones. Bifold doors lead to a patio space and a balcony gives a fantastic view of the local landscape.

Hard Landscaping and Extension in Crich
This project in Crich (near Alfreton and Ripley) was something a little different. Staring with the excavation of 60 tons of earth to create the space for a retaining wall and patio. A new set of steps was built using reclaimed stone while the patio was laid using reclaimed flags. The aperture for the extension was created using a steel goal post frame to take a new set of bifold doors. The roof was recovered and damp proofing specialist called in to waterproof the building. We are especially pleased with the way the lighting in the retaining wall worked out, it creates a lovely warm light.
This project is a great example of our team working alongside great local contractors across many trades. Thanks to @birchoverreclamationltd, @projanelectrical, @i.dstoneartandmemorials, @derwentwindows, @slaterandmylesroofing, @acldampproofing among others for your great work on this and many other projects.

Something a little simpler now with a new stone ancillary accommodation/annexe with basement in added in a property in Kirk Ireton near Wirksworth. Completed in the first quarter if 2025 this new building replaces an existing structure with the beautiful herringbone stone being reclaimed for the new annexe.
